   Dogs eat the darndest things, says Veterinary Pet Insurance, which listed the 10 most common items surgically removed from pets' intestinal tracts for which it has paid claims.  VPI's claim adjusters also have received medical records for pets that have swallowed pagers, hearing aids, drywall, snail bait, batteries, and toy cars.
